Nana Abra-Appiah

Nana Abra-Appiah, known in private life as Welbeck Abra-Appiah is the Board Chairman of the Presbyterian Press Ltd. Nana was educated at the University of Ghana where he studied Economics, Sociology and Political Science for his Bachelor of Arts Degree. He later attended Havard Business School in the United States of America.

Nana has over four decades of high level experience gained across diverse industries. He at a point in time worked at the Ghana Commercial Bank and the Bank for Housing and Construction. 

He later on became the Managing Director of Amalgamated Bank (now Bank of Africa) where he instituted innovative strategies to ensure that the bank became one of the leading banks in Ghana.

Nana apart from his vast experience in the banking sector is also a football enthusiast

At a point in time, he was the Chairman of Ghana’s Premier League Board. A position he held for over ten years.

Nan served as a consultant for the World Bank on SME Projects for some years.

Nana’s experiences cut across many fields including banking, finance and manufacturing.

He has served on many Board’s where his contributions have impacted positively on the fortunes of these organisations.

Nana Abra-Appiah is currently the Krontihene of Mpraeso as well as being a member of Ghana Association of Bankers and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Nana is married with children.
